What Are the Best Kawasaki Mule Accessories for Work and Recreation?

Hey everyone,

I recently purchased a Kawasaki Mule and I'm looking to outfit it for both work around the farm and weekend trail rides. I’ve seen a ton of options online, from roof racks to light bars, but it’s a bit overwhelming.

What are some of your must-have Kawasaki Mule accessories that you’ve found genuinely useful?

I’m especially interested in anything that improves storage, comfort, or utility. Also, if you’ve installed any yourself, how easy was the process?

Would love to hear your experiences and recommendations before I start spending money. Thanks!

For a good balance of work and recreation, I’d start with practical upgrades that improve everyday usability. A roof and windshield make a huge difference for comfort in different weather conditions, while a quality light bar is great if you're working early mornings or staying out on the trails after sunset.Storage accessories are probably the most valuable investment. Rear cargo boxes, under-seat storage solutions, and bed organizers help keep tools, recovery gear, and personal items secure and easy to access. On our farm, we've found that the same principle applies to larger storage operations as well—using organized systems such as specialized storage racking solutions helps maximize space and improve accessibility, whether you're storing equipment, materials, or supplies. For utility, a winch is hard to beat. It's useful for pulling equipment, clearing obstacles, or getting unstuck on muddy trails. Many owners also add upgraded tires and skid plates if they frequently ride on rough terrain. Most bolt-on accessories are fairly straightforward to install with basic hand tools, especially roofs, windshields, storage boxes, and mirrors. Electrical accessories like light bars and winches may take a little more time if you're not familiar with wiring, but there are plenty of installation guides available.I'd prioritize a roof, windshield, storage box, and winch first. Those upgrades tend to provide the biggest improvement in both productivity and recreational use.
